En Primeur 2012 – Vieux Chateau Certan – under £1000 a case

This beautiful small estate in the heart of Pomerol consistently crafts one of Bordeaux’s most elegant wines and again in 2012 Vieux Chateau Certan excelled, producing one of the vintage’s most beautiful wines. The estate benefits from a high proportion of Cabernet Franc in its blend, giving elegance and perfume. The wine is highly sought after – the trouble however is that it Vieux Chateau Certan is scarcer than the proverbial excreta of the favourite equine accessory in a posh Victorian child’s nursery!

Once again we don’t have a lot of this so if you are interested don’t delay, call today!

Vieux Château Certan, Pomerol      £ 990 IB case of 12

Vieux Chateau CertanA top success, the 2012 Vieux Chateau Certan is composed of 87% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep mulberry, plum and black cherry fruit notes intermixed with touches of graphite and subtle smoke lead to a medium-bodied wine with beautiful intensity, well-integrated oak, a velvety opulence and a long, impressively pure finish. A strong effort, it should drink well for 15 or more years.   Robert Parker Junior
