Bordeaux 2011 tasting notes

Bordeaux’s 2011 vintage has produced some lovely wines in a classic style. These may not be quite as thrilling as 2009 and 2010 but given that there are good indications that they may be priced lower than the last two or three vintages they could well offer good value drinking for claret lovers rather than investment grade commodities.

Much will depend on the pricing strategy adopted by the chateaux, but we expect that this year the campaign will begin early and finish quite quickly. Please remember to let us know if you would like to receive en primeur updates. Click here to register
